impossible it seems for an old single woman on disability to get an apartment .. but if I had kids I would not still be homeless, interesting huh? even if there are units open that are 2 bedrooms,, they will not lease them to me.I searched 4 counties in Kentucky..nothing.
in response to ekikaseven...I'm not sure about other states. I do know that there's nothing out there for me as a single disabled woman of 60the years old. If I had kids I could get a place right away..I've applied for a rent voucher but it could be 3 to 5 years to get help that way. Im looking forward to warmer weather. Thinking too I don't know if I can hang on that long.
Is that a Kentucky thing?

If I wanted an apartment, I would just apply. I would go to the rental companies that rent apartmets. They would check out my credit,income, etc. Then I would expect to get an apartment I could afford.
I am so sorry that its so hard in your Kentucky.
